About the App

My Workday: Pay Widget is an iOS 17+ workday companion. It combines configurable Earnings, Payday, and Work Mood Home Screen widgets with a Workday dashboard, locally calculated earnings estimates, payday timing, and optional mood history.

Getting started

  1. Open the Widgets tab. Earnings, Payday, and Work Mood designs are available together on this screen.
  2. Select a design to preview and customize it. Earnings and Payday designs include their shared information settings below the appearance controls.
  3. For an Earnings widget, choose how you are paid, enter an amount, and set your paid work schedule. For a Payday widget, choose a pay frequency and the next expected payday. The same underlying information is used across the relevant widget designs and the Workday dashboard.
  4. Tap Save & Apply when the button becomes active. Some photo-based Payday designs use Apply to Widget.
  5. Add My Workday: Pay Widget from the iOS Home Screen widget gallery. The in-App guide shows each installation step.

Adding a Home Screen widget

  1. Touch and hold an empty area of the Home Screen until the apps begin to move.
  2. Use the Home Screen edit controls and choose Add Widget.
  3. Search for My Workday.
  4. Choose an available size, add the widget, and place it on the Home Screen.
  5. If multiple saved designs are available, edit or interact with the widget as shown by iOS to choose the design you want.

The wording and location of Home Screen controls may vary by iOS version and device.

Frequently asked questions

Why does a widget preview show dashes instead of an amount or date?

Dashes indicate that the required Earnings or Payday information has not been completed. Open that widget design, enter the requested information under Earnings Data or Payday Data, then tap Save & Apply.

Why is Save & Apply unavailable?

The button is dimmed when nothing has changed or when required information is incomplete. After you make a valid change, it becomes active. For Earnings, confirm that a pay basis, amount, and work schedule are complete. For Payday, confirm the frequency and next payday.

Why has my Home Screen widget not refreshed?

  1. Open the App and confirm that the relevant Earnings, Payday, or Work Mood information is complete.
  2. Open the design you want and tap Save & Apply.
  3. Return to the Home Screen and allow iOS a short time to update the widget. Widget refresh timing is managed by iOS and may not be immediate.
  4. If the widget still shows old content, remove that Home Screen widget and add it again.
  5. If the issue continues, restart the device and contact support with the details listed below.

Why does the earnings estimate differ from my paycheck?

The App provides estimates based on the compensation and schedule information you enter. Estimates may not include taxes, deductions, benefits, bonuses, payroll rounding, unpaid absences, local labor rules, or employer-specific payroll practices. The App is not a payroll system, pay stub, accounting service, tax calculator, or financial adviser.

How is the payday countdown calculated?

The App uses the pay frequency and next payday you set, together with your device’s date, time zone, and calendar rules. Open any Payday widget design and review Payday Data if the countdown is incorrect. Also confirm that the device date and time zone are correct.

How do I hide earnings amounts?

Open an Earnings widget design and use Hide earnings in the Privacy area under Earnings Data, then tap Save & Apply. This changes supported earnings displays without deleting your compensation settings.

When does the Work Mood widget ask for a check-in?

Work Mood follows the paid work schedule you configure. During the workday, it shows workday-aware content instead of immediately asking for a mood. The check-in becomes available near the end of the scheduled workday according to the timing selected in the Work Mood design. Automatic check-in prompts are not shown on scheduled days off.

Where can I review or delete a Work Mood entry?

Open Workday and enter Mood History. From there, you can review previous entries and edit or delete an entry. Mood notes are optional.

How are photos used in photo-based Payday widgets?

The iOS photo picker lets you choose a specific image. The App prepares a local copy for the widget and does not request unrestricted access to your photo library. You can adjust or replace a selected image from the applicable widget editor. See the Privacy Policy for storage details.

Does the App upload or sync my information?

No. The current version has no App account, developer-operated cloud sync, advertising, or analytics SDK. Compensation settings, schedules, payday details, mood records, notes, selected widget photos, and widget preferences are handled locally. Apple-managed device backups may operate according to your Apple and device settings.

What happens if I remove a widget or delete the App?

Removing a Home Screen widget does not delete the App’s saved settings or records. Deleting the App generally removes its local data. Because the App has no account or developer-operated cloud sync, we cannot recover deleted settings, mood history, or widget photos for you.
